Elkins. In the 1930’s the Elkins family sold the retreat to the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine de Ricci, who maintained the Estate as a women's retreat for 75 years.</p> <p>The Estate is now under the ownership of the Land Conservancy of Elkins Park, Inc., a Pennsylvania 501(c)3 non-profit company dedicated to the preservation and protection ot this historic Estate.
